Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineering Specialist to join our busy service team. As a Field Service Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers across the UK, including Northern and Southern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and diagnosis of electrical and mechanical issues
  • Reactive breakdowns and emergency repairs
  • Planned maintenance and routine servicing of our equipment
  • Unplanned maintenance and repair of our machines
  • Component replacement and installation
  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Operator training and handover of equipment
  • Administration and reporting of maintenance activities
Requirements
  • Mobile/field-based position with home-based flexibility
  • Flexible approach towards overtime and overnight stays when work dictates
  • Multi-skilled with electrical bias preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronics, PLC (Siemens S5/S7), mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics required
  • High-level technical or professional qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND) or demonstrable competency such as an apprenticeship
  • IT literate
  • Professionalism in dealing with customers
  • Ability to work with the existing team of service engineers
  • Pride in workmanship and work quality with good attention to detail
Benefits
  • Basic salary starting circa £30K (based on 40-hour working week)
  • Overtime paid at time and a third after 40 hours
