We are partnering with a Local Authority in Walsall to provide a Family Support Worker on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. If you're passionate about supporting families, please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive family support service, focusing on families with children aged 0-19 who require integrated support.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of robust services for children and young people at risk of needing specialist interventions or becoming Looked After by the Local Authority.
- Support the effective safeguarding of children and young people through timely identification of risks and vulnerabilities, and onward referrals to relevant Children's Social Care Services or other agencies.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of children and families within the borough, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
- Develop and deliver time-limited individual or group work programs of support.
- Align with the overall vision, ethos, and aims of the Children's Services and Locality Hubs.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or relevant vocational experience, including training in evidence-based programs such as Parenting, Mediation, Family Group Conferencing, and Restorative Practice.
Important Notes:
- You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires a basic DBS.
