Job Summary:

Finegreen is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to provide clinical support to our healthcare operations team. As an Interim Senior Medical Secretary, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process investigation reports, ensuring accurate information is disseminated to the clinical team as required.
  • Perform associated administrative duties, including maintaining accurate filing systems, receiving mail, diary management, and scanning patient records as necessary.
  • Compose clinical notes and letters to a high standard in a timely manner.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Liaise with other clinical/clerical teams to facilitate urgent appointments or procedures, ensuring all relevant departments are notified accordingly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and addressing concerns in a polite and empathetic manner.
  • Escalate patient queries, capacity issues, and general concerns to the role's line manager or relevant clinical staff as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven clerical/administrative experience or secretarial background.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within the NHS.
  • Understanding of specialized medical terminology.
  • Demonstrable experience working with DGL and Meditech systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience dealing with the public.
  • Familiarity with NHS policies and procedures.
