About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Ecological Team Lead to join our team in Birmingham. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for growing, managing, and supporting the ecological team in delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of ecological consultants to deliver projects on time and to budget
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring effective resource allocation and management
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to team members, ensuring high-quality project output
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating revenue growth for the company
- Manage financial planning and budgeting for projects and teams
- Supervise field staff and survey effort, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
- Undertake site surveys, ecological impact assessments, and ecological mitigation design and implementation
Requirements
- Established ecological consultant with extensive project management experience
- Strong technical knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation and best practice survey techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to plan and undertake habitat surveys and identify indicator plant species and habitat types
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
