Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Planet Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Plant Fitters & Mechanics in maintaining our recycling plant and vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Plant Fitters & Mechanics in maintaining our recycling plant and vehicle fleet.
  • Review and improve maintenance working practices, including fault finding, diagnostics, and planned maintenance.
  • Recruit and onboard new team members as needed to ensure efficient team operations.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts, and other plant machinery.
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance work for lorries and other vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in heavy plant, mechanical, and electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in repairing mobile plant, lorries, and other vehicles.
  • Background in HGV maintenance or vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience in repairing machinery, including conveyor belts, industrial shredders, and granulators.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Welding skills.
  • Fluent English required.
  • UK driving license.
