Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Inventum Group in London. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business units by delivering impactful commercial insights to drive strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Forecasting: Collaborate closely with business units to produce detailed cost and headcount forecasts. Translate the business strategy into comprehensive financial plans that support operational efficiency and growth.
  • Variance Analysis: Provide clear explanations for cost variances against plans by developing a deep understanding of business operations and cost drivers. Use this insight to recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  • Performance Optimization: Work closely with the business to optimize operations, drive financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies. Implement new processes as the business evolves to ensure continued financial success.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the business. Act as a trusted advisor by providing independent review and challenge, ensuring financial decisions align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Presentation & Reporting: Develop and present concise and impactful financial information to a range of stakeholders, contributing to Executive Committee and Board presentations.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Cost Business Partnering role, with a track record of successfully supporting business units in financial planning and analysis.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build and nurture meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders while providing objective review and challenge.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear and concise insights.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proactive & Independent: A self-motivated team player who is proactive, able to take initiative, and comfortable formulating ideas and opinions independently.
  • Agile Environment: Experience in a fast-paced, environment with a focus on continuous improvement, process optimization, and the ability to implement new processes as needed.
