Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate food supply for daily operations while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with chefs at all levels for effective ordering and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
  • Manage a busy kitchen pass, confidently leading in the absence of senior chefs.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food production and presentation.
  • Contribute to menu innovation by proposing new dishes and recipes, considering logistical aspects.
  • Source seasonal ingredients and enhance our free-from menu offerings, working closely with the culinary team.
  • Participate in cleaning schedules and uphold hygiene standards, completing necessary documentation.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements, with a creative approach to menu development.
  • Ability to multitask effectively during peak service times while supporting junior staff.
  • Team-oriented with excellent coaching abilities, quickly adapting to new skills and methods.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and listening.
  • Proactive problem solver, capable of addressing issues as they arise.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout the workday.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a kitchen environment, with the ability to manage workloads effectively.
  • Confidence in working across various kitchen sections.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow and relay instructions clearly.

Team Structure:

  • Report directly to the Head Chef.
  • Collaborate closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
