Role Summary:

We are looking for a committed and passionate Foundation Stage Support Assistant with a Level 3 qualification to become part of our dynamic team.

The successful applicant will assist the foundation stage teaching staff in providing exceptional care and educational experiences for children aged 0-5 years.

This position entails supporting the execution of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, cultivating a nurturing learning atmosphere, and encouraging the physical, emotional, and social growth of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of engaging and age-appropriate activities that correspond with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Provide individualized and small group support to children, enhancing their learning and development.
  • Prepare and organize resources and educational materials.

Childcare and Oversight:
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
  • Supervise and engage children during both indoor and outdoor play activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting and reporting findings to the lead educator or nursery manager.
  • Maintain precise records of children's accomplishments and developmental milestones.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and well-being. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Help sustain a clean, safe, and stimulating educational environment. Support the enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Experience working with children aged 0-5 years in an early years environment.
Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Safeguarding training.
Experience with special educational needs (SEN) support.

Personal Attributes:
A strong passion for early childhood education and development.
A creative and enthusiastic approach to learning.
Ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
