Tax Leadership Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Tax Leadership Manager to join our client's finance team in Glasgow. As a key member of the team, you will provide strategic finance leadership and support to the organisation, ensuring compliance with all indirect and direct tax matters.
Main Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Governance: Manage compliance with all indirect and direct tax matters across the organisation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Team Leadership: Lead, line manage and provide day-to-day support to the tax analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Process Improvement: Lead strategic improvement to the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and controls to support tax operations, driving business growth and excellence.
- Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships within the organisation to ensure that all taxes are considered in projects and initiatives.
- Tax Strategy: Ensure that the organisation has a sound tax strategy in place, followed at all times.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualifications: Professionally qualified (CTA or similar) with significant post-qualification tax experience at a senior level within a large, complex environment.
- Leadership Experience: A strong track record of leadership and delivery at a senior financial level, with extensive experience of leading and managing teams to deliver excellence.
- Professional VAT Experience: Substantial professional VAT experience, with a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
