About the Role

CareTech UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Service to lead the strategic vision and development of our Midlands region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding outcomes and ensuring the highest level of service is provided throughout the registration process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and development in the Midlands region.
  • Lead a team of experienced professionals, including qualified social workers, to deliver high-quality services to foster carers and children.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government agendas and frameworks, and maintain a strong understanding of QA and compliance approaches.
  • Oversee the growth and development of foster carer recruitment, assessment work, supervision, training, and supporting carers and their children.
  • Develop and manage business plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the protection of children and young people, and promote their welfare in all activities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and create plans in line with organisational objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or equivalent Senior Management role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of fostering legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience of operational business planning techniques, including resource management, marketing plans, and performance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of business finance, including budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Sound interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and digital communication.
  • Emotional intelligence and ability to manage competing expectations of stakeholders.
