Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide project field engineering expertise with work planning and execution, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Planning & Execution

  • Develops construction drawings and schedules.
  • Leads the preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures the preparation of 'as built' drawings and other job plans.

Material Management

  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.

Quantity Verification

  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Safety & Quality Control

  • Ensures a zero-accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Technical Expertise

  • Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.

System Turnover Coordinator

For Direct Hire

  • Develops a firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.

STR / Subcontract Coordinator

  • Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
  • Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.
Requirements:

Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of all phases of welding technology relating to a single or multiple area.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Experience in inspection and certifying welding installation by contractors.
  • Knowledge of different types of welding and Non-destructive testing.
  • Experience in Brown Field works & pre-assemblies.
