We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Development Specialist to join our team at Parkinson's UK. As a key member of our People team, you will play a vital role in supporting our business partners and contributing to the development and implementation of our people strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on a range of HR functions, including recruitment and retention, employee relations, performance management, employee wellbeing support, and workforce planning and resourcing.
- Support managers in effectively leading and developing their teams, providing guidance, support, and data to enable them to make informed decisions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and practices that support the needs of all employees and communities.
- Work collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team to build and deliver our people strategy, and contribute to the development and improvement of our HR systems and processes.
- Proven experience of managing a range of employee relations case work and recruitment campaigns.
- Influencing and negotiation skills to support managers in delivering effective and fair ER processes.
- Understanding of HR legislation and best practice to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Ability to work as part of a team of subject matter experts and contribute to the development of consistent practices across the charity.
- Understanding of HR systems, reporting, data, and metrics to use effectively in supporting business decisions.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and support the team in achieving collaborative goals.
We offer a flexible working arrangement, with the opportunity to work from home two days a week. You will be required to cover your own travel expenses to the office.
