Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager to collaborate with our functional teams. You will oversee resource management and work packages, ensuring that skilled personnel are available to meet project demands while optimizing resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the successful delivery of projects and programmes, ensuring team results align with objectives.
- Financially plan and meet acceptable business financial targets related to orders, sales, gross margin, and cash flow.
- Monitor and report on project/programme performance against schedule, technical, financial, and quality benchmarks.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers and suppliers, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations.
- Oversee the development and continuous enhancement of procedures and guidelines for project/programme operations, ensuring compliance with the Operational Framework and LCM mandates.
- Engage proactively in the talent management process.
Key Experience Required:
- Formal training in Project Management (accredited by APM, PMI, or PRINCE), with proficiency in scheduling and risk management software tools (e.g., MS Project & Predict).
- Experience as a Project/Programme Manager on complex projects/programmes, with extensive knowledge of Project Management, preferably from a related industry (Defence/Manufacturing/Engineering).
- Degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience in the engineering/manufacturing sector, demonstrating Project Management delivery experience.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Experience in managing risks and opportunities to benefit the programme.
