About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Widnes-based SEND primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a 1:1 and small group setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis, taking a pupil-centred approach to education.
  • Work closely with class teachers to ensure each pupil reaches their full academic potential.
  • Break down learning material in a more digestible manner for pupils with complex needs.
  • Build strong constructive relationships with pupils to promote positive behaviours and identify trigger points.
Requirements
  • Full "Right to Work" in the UK.
  • Recent referenceable experience working with children and young people.
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time contract.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (advantageous but not essential).
