About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team at a large primary school in Widnes. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils with Autism and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with Autism and other special needs in a 1:1 capacity, promoting their learning and development through play-based activities and speech and language sessions.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition for pupils and provide regular updates on their progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the EYFS team.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in an EYFS setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents.
  • Current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire one through Hays.
  • Two references from previous employment.
