Teaching Assistant Opportunity for a SEN School

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at a successful SEN school in Widnes. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized attention and care to help them thrive in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored assistance to meet their unique needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEND or young adults with special needs
  • Kind and caring personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the school
  • Proof of Right to Work, a fully enhanced DBS certificate, and a CV covering 10 years of education or employment
