Resourcing Group is currently in search of a Control Systems Engineer to collaborate with a reputable and thriving client based in Milton Keynes, as part of their Software and Controls team.
The Control Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and integrating both hardware and software to guarantee the safe and dependable operation of the client's machinery.
Our client is a prominent Manufacturing firm located in Milton Keynes, specializing in Mechanical equipment. They are well-regarded for their product offerings and the excellent career advancement opportunities they provide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and test module-level code in accordance with the software development lifecycle.
- Create product-level code to facilitate the introduction of new products.
- Modify existing module-level and product-level code to support testing and validation of new products.
- Define software functionality requirements.
- Produce custom test software to aid in general testing and validation efforts.
- Adhere to best practices for version control and code commenting to ensure traceability and knowledge retention.
- Assist with software updates for machines currently in operation.
- Integrate hardware and software components of products.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong academic foundation.
- A degree in a relevant discipline (candidates without a degree may be considered if they possess significant and relevant industry experience).
- Experience in software development for mobile machinery.
- Proficiency in software development for electro-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC programming using CODESYS, particularly with FBD (Functional Block Diagram) and ST (Structured Text) languages.
- Understanding of hydraulic valve control.
- Experience in software development following the V-Model methodology.
- Experience with MS Visual Studio (C, C#, C++) is advantageous.
This is a full-time permanent position for a Control Systems Engineer, with a standard 40-hour workweek, offering an annual salary of up to £65,000 along with comprehensive company benefits, including 25 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays, a pension scheme, and an annual bonus.
