A highly experienced deputy manager is sought to work closely with the home manager and non-clinical deputy at this luxurious, purpose-built nursing, residential, and dementia care home. The home is part of a well-respected and successful care provider and has a Good CQC rating.
The group has a superb reputation, and this is an exciting time to be joining this newly built home where you can recruit your own team and support the home manager in developing the reputation of this superb home.
Working 40 hours per week, mostly supernumerary hours, you will work very closely with the Registered Manager and deputise in her absence, leading a team of nurses in ensuring quality care is given to all residents. You will have and expect high standards of care.
You will work closely with the staff and be expected to be a 'hands-on' and proactive manager. This is a super opportunity for an experienced deputy manager looking for 'the next step' in their career or a registered manager looking for a step back. A background in working in a new home or commissioning a home would be advantageous.
Liaising with families, GPs, and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure you demonstrate kindness and professionalism and have a good knowledge of care standards, audits, medication, Dols, etc.
You will be/have:
- A current NMC PIN
- A background in care management gained within an elderly care home and ideally a brand new home
- A self-starter able to motivate your team and ensure the excellent quality of care this provider is known for is delivered
- Excellent knowledge of care and clinical standards and a passion for dementia care
