About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Citigroup Inc. in Belfast. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in delivering end-to-end HR processes and procedures for our internal client groups, which are geographically diverse and global.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with managers to ensure the effective and seamless delivery of end-to-end HR processes, including annual cycle activities.
  2. Provide advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of Employee Relations matters, including conduct, absence, and performance issues.
  3. Support managers and employees in resolving informal workplace issues and complaints, and support the delivery of disciplinary action in line with the company's global Discipline policy.
  4. Develop strong working relationships with key HR partners, including Reward & Mobility, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Learning & Development, and HR Delivery Partners.
  5. Support managers in developing and delivering proactive people initiatives to improve employee engagement, career progression, development, and diversity & inclusion.
  6. Coach people managers to increase their capability in managing performance of their teams, ensuring that development and career plans are in place and underperformance is addressed.
  7. Partner with global and regional compensation specialists and HR colleagues to support an efficient and coordinated annual year-end compensation process.
  8. Lead and implement change management activity required to support ongoing business growth, ensuring adherence to any regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  1. Experience in an HR Generalist/HR Business Partner/Generalist role.
  2. Good understanding of GB and Northern Ireland employment law, policies & systems; experience of US, Canada, and Latin America law, policies, and practices a plus.
  3. Knowledge and experience of sound HR practice.
  4. Strong ability to manage and mitigate risk.
  5. Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of how HR adds value to the business.
  6. Able to link HR practice to business strategy and align actions to drive business outcomes.
  7. Proficient in the use of HR systems, preferably Workday.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
