About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment and Skills Trainer to join our team at Reed in Partnership. As an integral part of our employability programmes, you will play a crucial role in improving the opportunities of adult jobseekers by coaching, training, and upskilling them to achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery: Prepare and deliver a range of training courses to our participants, ensuring they receive high-quality instruction and support.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess and evaluate the results of our training programmes, providing performance feedback to participants and stakeholders.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a professional training environment, ensuring a safe and productive learning space for all participants.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Promote our courses to internal and external stakeholders, building relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Requirements
  • Essential Attributes: A background in preparing and delivering training courses, with experience delivering face-to-face training to adults. Ability to work to strict targets and with people from various backgrounds. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Experience of working in the welfare-to-work or any other similar relevant sector. A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma. GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
  • Desirable Attributes: Ability to empathise with our members and motivate them, able to challenge and influence mindset changes. Recognised Teaching qualification such as PTTLS or PGCE (if you do not have this, you Reed in Partnership will fund this in your first 6 months in the role). Passion for delivering excellent job and making long-term positive changes for our members. Resilience, creativity, and adaptability. Willingness to travel locally (e.g. to deliver training/courses/meet Learners/Employers).
