Job Title: Lead Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at BSC Education Limited. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, as well as mentoring and supporting our teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons to TEFLQ standards, ensuring that students receive a high-quality learning experience.
  • Mentor and support teaching staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them improve their teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programmes, using your expertise and knowledge to design and deliver high-quality learning materials.
  • Participate in the observation programme, providing feedback and guidance to colleagues to help them improve their teaching practice.
  • Act as a conduit between students and college management, providing support and guidance to students and communicating with management to ensure that student needs are met.
  • Support the student experience team, providing guidance and support to students and contributing to the development of student programmes and activities.
  • Participate in the development of new technologies and systems, using your expertise and knowledge to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Contribute to the development of the college's CPD programme, providing guidance and support to colleagues to help them improve their teaching practice.
  • Act as a role model for the teaching team, demonstrating best practice and providing guidance and support to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Cambridge DELTA or industry equivalent, or CELTA plus experience with willingness to work towards DELTA.
  • Degree or alternative relevant experience.
  • Ability to deliver lessons to TEFLQ standards.
  • Experience in EFL teaching in the UK or abroad, with a good understanding of current industry developments.
  • Evidence of competently using learning technologies in the classroom and online.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development and the willingness to learn new skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in leading CPD workshops or other training.
  • Previous ACM or Senior Teacher experience.
  • Knowledge of another language at B1 or higher.
  • Experience in curriculum/syllabus design and/or materials writing.
  • Expertise in another subject or industry such as business, technology, hospitality etc.
