An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety Systems Engineer within a prominent technology firm specializing in development, simulation, and testing within the automotive sector.
In this role, you will serve as a pivotal safety systems authority across a diverse array of consultancy initiatives, collaborating closely with system engineers to oversee the safety deliverables.
With guidance from System Engineers and fellow Safety Systems Engineers, your responsibilities will encompass executing the necessary safety activities tailored to each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehend the intended functionality of systems within a broad automotive framework.
- Create essential safety documentation for projects in accordance with ISO26262, including fault-tree analysis, hazard analysis, and technical safety concepts and requirements.
- Facilitate safety reviews as required, both internally with project teams and externally with clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BSc or BEng (2:1) in Automotive, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant engineering experience, preferably in Systems or Safety Engineering.
- Experience in supporting safety activities aligned with ISO26262.
- A valid driving license for operation in the UK.
- Proven track record in delivering safety documentation as stipulated by ISO26262.
- Experience in the development of automotive powertrain control systems, high-voltage electrical power supplies, hybrid vehicles, ADAS features, or similar technical domains.
- Experience in conducting or leading FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and HARA activities.
