About the Role

Apollo Home Healthcare Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Preston and the surrounding areas. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users with long-term, life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to service users, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with medication administration and monitoring
  • Support with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Engage with service users in activities they enjoy, such as hydrotherapy sessions and community outings
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support

Requirements

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling
  • Medication Administration
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working with complex conditions, such as spinal injury care, acquired brain injury care, and tracheostomy care
  • Ability to drive and access to a vehicle
