Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in communicating, training, and ensuring compliance with all Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on all people-related issues.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations within the food production industry.
  • Coach, challenge, and influence leaders and managers to develop leadership and team capability.
  • Help to continually improve the overall business performance and ensure teams are future-ready.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager and Leadership team to define, deliver, and measure culture and engagement initiatives across the business.
  • Manage the recruitment process, from developing job descriptions to facilitating interviews.
  • Organize and deliver HR-related training programs.
  • Support, coach, and challenge line management with absence, disciplinary, and grievance issues, analyzing trends to recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Support the development of performance management systems.
Requirements
  • A strong background in HR as an HR Advisor or Officer.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • A solution-focused approach to conflict resolution.
  • Strong IT skills in HRIS and Office packages (particularly Word, SharePoint, Excel).
  • A proactive approach to employee engagement and staff development.
  • Proven ability to plan and implement projects/initiatives.
  • Analytical skills: quickly evaluate data/situations and reach conclusions.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, manufacturing organization would be highly desirable.
