Job Summary:

Utility Warehouse Limited is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Energy Manager to join our Energy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the optimization of our energy P&L, ensuring our customers receive the best deals, and future-proofing our energy supply and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Own the contract lifecycle of metering contracts across a customer base of approximately [insert number].
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Manage and optimize all metering and commercial supplier relationships on a substantial and growing base.
  • Risk Management: Formally manage all in-life risks associated with contracts and report on these at least quarterly.
  • Commercial Levers: Identify areas of risk and improvements to meet business objectives, driving target outcomes on the metering portfolio and MAP agreements.
  • Team Management: Manage a high-performing team of analysts, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members.
  • Negotiation and Procurement: Negotiate and procure smart meters.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Significant experience in the energy industry, with a deep understanding of the drivers of the P&L.
  • Education: Educated to degree level in Business or Law (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills: Exceptional commercial acumen, ability to build enduring and mutually beneficial relationships with strategic commercial partners, and strong internal stakeholder management.
