At Teknikal Specialist Recruitment Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain HSQE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls.
- Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Coordinate and deliver HSQE training programs for employees at all levels.
- Monitor and report on HSQE performance, including the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
- Ensure that all quality management systems are maintained and continuously improved in line with ISO standards.
- Ensure that environmental management systems are also maintained and improved in line with ISO standards.
- Promote a positive HSQE culture across the organization through effective communication and engagement strategies.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and other stakeholders on HSQE matters.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and changes in legislation, and ensure that the company remains compliant.
- A degree or equivalent level qualification in Environmental Sciences, Quality Management, or a related field.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety.
- Membership of IOSH at Certified (CertIOSH) level as a minimum.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the Plant hire/Construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSQE legislation and standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSQE management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
- Salary £55k - £60k
