About the Role

The Charges Coordinator Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of charges received under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA). This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to mitigate charges paid to reduce Thames Water and Contractor liability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mitigate charges paid to reduce Thames Water and Contractor liability through investigation/validation of charges using Thames Water systems
  • Identify areas of concern within business units and/or contractors in order to mitigate avoidable costs
  • Using effective negotiations with third parties, ensure that Thames Water receive, and pay for, only valid charges

Requirements

  • Great attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Previous office administrative experience
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Fully proficient at using IT systems ie Microsoft office & be able to adapt to using new software quickly
  • Be a team player and support co-workers
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment to meet project timescales

What We Offer

  • Salary of £26,000 per annum depending on skills and previous relevant experience
  • 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)
  • Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution
