We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our Cellular Pathology Department at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Biomedical Scientist - Histology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive and accurate laboratory service to patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high-quality laboratory service, including diagnostic testing and screening procedures.
  • Contribute to maintaining laboratory accreditation and quality initiatives.
  • Measure and monitor the accuracy and precision of laboratory investigations.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate quality assurance procedures.
  • Support all diagnostic procedures provided by the department.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in designated areas of diagnostic work within the department.
  • Proven experience post HCPC registration in the relevant discipline.
  • Practical experience of diagnostic pathology techniques.
  • Experience with laboratory computer systems.
  • Experience with quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues.
  • Continuing professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Honours degree or equivalent in a biological science.
  • HCPC Registration.
