Senior Quantity Surveyor at Taylor Woodrow

Taylor Woodrow is a leading construction company seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of geotechnical and off-track drainage work as part of a major construction program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Management: Protect Taylor Woodrow's commercial interests by leveraging expertise in contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal processes.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth progress on contracts.
  • Collaboration and Guidance: Liaise with clients, procurement specialists, and senior staff to provide guidance and support to other members of the commercial team.
  • Commercial and Technical Planning: Anticipate and plan for commercial and technical changes to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Support the tendering process and oversee project procurement schedules and subcontract procurement to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a quantity surveying role, preferably in rail infrastructure projects.
  • Contractual Knowledge: Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Professional Membership: Professional Membership of RICS or MICES is desired.
