About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at The Diabetes Times. As a key member of our In-Patient Diabetes Specialist Nurse team, you will provide expert clinical care and advice to ward-based nursing and medical staff, patients, and their carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist support and advice to people with Type 2 and Type 1 diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy.
  • Deliver education to patients and professionals on diabetes management and care.
  • Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, community nurses, GP and practice nurses, and antenatal services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience managing diabetes care.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and develop your knowledge in diabetes care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
