Position: Senior Revenue Assistant (Fixed Term)

Salary: £23,000 - £24,000
We invite qualified candidates to become part of our dynamic team at Dumfries & Galloway Council during an exciting phase of transformation. As a Senior Revenue Assistant within the Financial Wellbeing and Revenues (FWR) division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our community's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer interactions and process applications across multiple service channels.
- Provide clear and professional communication to clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Address customer inquiries through various mediums, including face-to-face, email, and telephone.
Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided; however, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess a confident demeanor and a strong motivation to thrive in a challenging yet fulfilling work environment. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, along with excellent numerical skills and a friendly approach, is required. Meeting deadlines and handling issues with professionalism are critical aspects of this role.
Qualifications:
A minimum of National 4 (or 5) in English or Maths (or equivalent) is necessary, along with experience in public-facing roles.
This position is subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standards check, including candidate vetting.
This is a fixed-term role for a duration of up to 12 months, and may be suitable for secondment, pending agreement from your line manager.
