Job Title: Child Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Child Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Child Wellbeing Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing guided self-help therapy and parenting interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

About the Role:

This is a training position that will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in child wellbeing practice. You will work under close supervision to gain experience across healthcare and community settings, enabling you to deliver high-quality, evidence-based early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver guided self-help therapy and parenting interventions to children and young people
  • Work under close supervision to gain experience across healthcare and community settings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, young people, and their families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans and policies
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related subject
  • Relevant professional experience in CYP Mental Health/Education/Mentorship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
