Behaviour Support Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at a dynamic secondary school in Newcastle. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social emotional behaviour difficulties, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Establish and maintain a positive 1:1 mentoring relationship with identified students, working collaboratively with teachers, Heads of House, and support staff to promote the effective use of behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with parents to develop and implement agreed action plans, outlining the aims of the mentoring and supporting students to achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school environment, promoting the well-being and academic success of all students.
