The Role

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships across all levels, including Buying/Trading, Merchandising, and Marketing, to ensure Trinny London secures its rightful share of voice, visibility, and exposure.
  • Facilitating successful commercial negotiations regarding terms, pricing, distribution, online presence, and marketing support packages with Buying and Merchandising teams.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of retail dynamics and category performance to identify opportunities and strategic needs.
  • Taking full responsibility for retail sales forecasting for the region/retailers, adhering to all financial deadlines and budget submissions, while promptly identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Delivering comprehensive plans to maintain top rankings across all categories and locations.
  • Collaborating with planning to ensure accurate forecasting for new product development and core lines, along with proactive inventory and assortment management.
  • Managing each account's profit and loss, balancing investment with revenue potential; monitoring retailer profit contributions and achieving agreed-upon profitability.
  • Remaining agile to respond to retail trends and maximize opportunities across various retailers.
  • Monitoring, managing, and optimizing performance.
  • Working closely with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, PR, and E-commerce to develop and execute an annual plan for each retailer, covering key launches, marketing initiatives, events, and customer engagement strategies. Regularly reviewing implementation and performance against expectations.
  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships; ensuring that broader teams are consistently updated on retail activities and decisions, always presenting the commercial rationale.
  • Building strong working relationships with Retail teams, leveraging insights from the field to drive commercial growth.
  • For new trading partners, onboarding and developing tailored launch plans suitable for the market and retailer to achieve and sustain top rankings.
  • Being a visionary. Inspiring others to see and be excited about the possibilities through effective collaboration.

Requirements

The following skills will be beneficial in this role:

  • Extensive and proven experience as a Senior National Account Manager or National Account Manager, preferably within the beauty, luxury, or fashion sectors.
  • Strong numerical aptitude, target-driven mindset, and commercial acumen.
  • Solution-oriented and innovative, balancing risk management with a growth mindset.
  • Open to challenges and passionate about the beauty industry.
  • Organized and structured, yet comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable to a startup culture, with a hands-on approach in a flexible and agile manner.
  • Ability to provide a macro-level perspective and understanding, formulating strategies while articulating the rationale behind business decisions.
  • A desire for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiations.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
