Job Summary

Matchtech is seeking a highly skilled SDA Deputy Chief Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the formation of Australia's design approval capabilities for the SSN-AUKUS submarine program.

Main Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical concerns and issues related to the ASA and SSNA integration.
  • Compare and assess Australian and UK standards, legislation, and safety policies to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the delivery of the ASA program and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Advise the ASA on UK engineering processes and best practices.
  • Facilitate the exchange of information between the SSNA and ASA, including industrial partners.
  • Manage the SSNA engineering SharePoint site and ensure seamless collaboration.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with international partners.
  • Proven experience in nuclear submarine acquisition programs and technical leadership roles.
