About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Lead/Manager to join our team at West Northamptonshire Council. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a multi-disciplinary design and construction delivery team on varied projects across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies, processes, and policies to enable delivery of corporate objectives.
  • Manage project and programme performance, reporting to Members, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and external partners.
  • Identify programme delivery risks and implement mitigations to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Members, the ELT, and external partners.
  • Provide technical support to wider corporate responsibilities and projects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of managing multiple projects that range in their value and complexity.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of commercial issues.
