About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Northampton. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to our Quantity Surveyors and contribute to the success of our civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Quantity Surveyors with site visits, tender preparation, and cost advice to clients.
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects, including forecasting profit figures and analyzing rates and prices.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Procurement departments to ensure timely and accurate commercial accountabilities.
  • Support the safety Director and safety team in the application of safety policy and practice.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and allocate work to sub-contractors.
Requirements
  • GCSEs with a minimum of 7 A-C/5-9, including Maths and English.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
  • General knowledge of contractual terms within construction.
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Strong mathematical ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
