About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at Dunstable Downs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating engaging experiences for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for visitors, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and deliver engaging events and activities that bring the place and its stories to life.
  • Work closely with our Senior Visitor Experience Officer to develop experiences that inspire and educate visitors.
  • Role model excellent customer service and coach, train, and support your team to achieve their goals.
  • Focus on growing support through fundraising and membership, engaging visitors with our work, and inspiring them to support our cause.
  • Deliver high standards of presentation at the property and ensure all communications with visitors are clear and consistent.
  • Act as Duty Manager, ensuring a smooth daily operation of the site and responding to incidents or visitor reports.

Requirements
  • Used to multiple deadlines and managing your own workload.
  • Skilled in organisation and planning, with a good eye for detail.
  • Good at talking to, and getting on with, all kinds of people.
  • A hard-working and committed team player.
  • Comfortable with IT: Microsoft Office, as well as web and social media.
  • Experienced in producing interpretive materials, such as displays and exhibitions, and marketing or promotional materials.
  • Familiar with health and safety procedures.
