Financial Controller and Sales Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Pertemps TM is seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller and Sales Administrator to join our team. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining a section of the sales ledger, setting new cash customer accounts, and managing daily postings of receipts. You will also be responsible for chasing monies that are due or overdue, sending out copy invoices, and reviewing stop lists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Controller:
    • Maintain a section of the sales ledger as designated by the Branch Manager
    • Set new cash customer accounts
    • Post daily receipts received in the bank account
    • Manage daily debtors list, chase monies that are due or overdue, send out copy invoices, and review stop lists
    • Manage statement queries
    • Regularly review accounts trading over the agreed credit limit and review processes to reduce order release volumes wherever possible to maximise efficiencies
    • Review customer credit limits with credit agencies
    • Ensure branches are aware of accounts trading over the credit limit and any such accounts are actioned accordingly
    • Manage petty cash
    • Prepare banking cash and cheques
    • End-of-day banking for both depots, reconciliation
  • Sales Administration:
    • Process orders
    • Answer customer queries

Requirements:

  • CICM qualified ideal but not essential
  • GCSE Grade 6 Maths and English or equivalent or Level 3 Admin/business or finance qualification
  • Microsoft Office packages experience essential
  • 5 years' experience needed in a similar role or industry, experience with products
  • Organisational knowledge and great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sales Ledger experience
