About the Role:
Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legislation and Compliance:
- Develop and implement a robust health and safety policy and procedure plan to manage day-to-day operations.
- Act as the first point of contact for health and safety guidance, liaising closely with in-house legal teams on suitability and compliance.
- Support teams in embracing change within the compliance landscape and implement control measures to mitigate risk.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to legislation and government guidance, preparing and issuing health and safety alerts, bulletins, and information.
- Advise the business on changes in legislation affecting compliant operations, including statutory maintenance requirements.
- Safety Management and Monitoring:
- Develop and implement effective safety management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a facilities management or property management environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze complex information and develop effective solutions.
