About the Role
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ward Clerk to provide administrative support to the ward/unit staff. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring the smooth running of the ward/unit office, and providing general assistance to the ward/unit manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the ward/unit staff, including data input on the Patient Administration System (PAS) and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Ensure patient case notes are available, maintained, and up-to-date.
- Deliver and collect patient's case notes, and if applicable, x-rays, and investigation results from various locations throughout the hospital.
- Accurately file reports, notes, and results efficiently.
- Participate in new directions to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Requirements
- English Language GCSE (or equivalent) C or above.
- Maths GCSE (or equivalent) C or above.
- Previous experience using IT applications, including Microsoft.
