Senior Building Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at Reed. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading and managing a range of building projects, from design and contract administration to project management and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage building projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of architectural technologists, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on building projects, including feasibility studies, budget costings, and project management.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including tender documents, contracts, and project reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and other legislative requirements.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Building Surveyor in a consultancy or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and other legislative requirements.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
