About the Company

Pertemps Bond is a leading engineering firm that has experienced continuous growth and success. As a result, we are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead and support our existing health and safety culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on continuous improvement, be passionate about the health and safety industry, and have experience of supporting multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigating and Documenting Incidents: Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses, as well as maintain related records.
  • Safe Storage and Compliance: Oversee and advise on the safe storage of products in accordance with COSHH Regulations and the Fire Safety Order.
  • Site Coordination: Regularly coordinate with onsite engineers, human resources, and third parties to ensure all branches meet health and safety and legal requirements.
  • Training and Development: Monitor and update training programs and manuals to ensure they remain effective and current.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Provide guidance on regulatory changes, implementations, and training to help others achieve health, safety, quality standards, and legal compliance.
Requirements
  • A qualification in Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E), such as IOSH/NEBOSH, is desirable, though training and development opportunities will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, with the ability to stay current on changes and inform the business when necessary.
  • Familiarity with OHSAS 18001/45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 is desirable.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver's license is required due to the need for travel between sites.
