About the Role

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Orthogeriatrics team. As a key member of our team, you will be working closely with colleagues across Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Anaesthetics to provide high-quality care to frail, elderly patients with fragility fractures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide joint care for elderly trauma patients within the Trauma and Orthopaedics bed base at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
  • Work closely with Consultant Geriatricians, junior medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement new ways of working to enhance inpatient care for frail, elderly patients.
  • Collaborate with the Orthogeriatrics team to maintain and improve a high standard of care for patients.

Requirements

  • Completed relevant training in advanced clinical practice.
  • Passion for holistic, multidisciplinary care of frail older people.
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues across Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Anaesthetics.
