We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Practitioner to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare to patients presenting with primary and urgent conditions.
The successful candidate will work as an Autonomous Healthcare Provider, using specialist skills and knowledge to independently provide healthcare to patients. This will involve working in accordance with local protocols and national guidelines, and providing consistent high-standard, evidence-based clinical intervention and decision-making.
As a Non-Medical Prescriber, you will prescribe medications in accordance with your personal scope of practice, national guidelines, Trust policy, and service protocols. You will also be expected to work closely with the Senior Nurse, Lead Clinician, and Clinical Services Manager in playing a proactive role in quality and service improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse (adult or paediatric) or Paramedic to join our team as a Trainee Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (tECP), delivering high-quality care for a variety of minor injuries and illnesses presentations. The tECP will be supported and given appropriate and required training to be able to provide specialist healthcare autonomously and independently to adult and paediatric patients.
The post holder will be expected to work in accordance with the Trust Framework for Advanced/Enhanced Practice, undertaking advanced specialist skills in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients. You will also be expected to advise patients, their carers, and staff on the promotion of health and prevention of illness.
This is a Band 6 Nurse Practitioner position with training support in place to become a Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner by completing a series of developmental competencies and educational modules. The successful candidate will be expected to work 5 shifts, covering 7-day service.
The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an inclusive employer, committed to creating a culture of inclusivity where everyone can be themselves and reach their full potential. We recognise the advantages of having a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
The successful candidate will have access to an extensive range of staff discounts on shopping, fitness, and leisure options, as well as salary sacrifice options, including our OFSTED-rated outstanding nursery onsite at Exeter. You will also have access to the NHS Pension scheme, one of the most generous and comprehensive in the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
