Information Security Specialist

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Security Analyst within our organization. This hybrid position allows for a flexible work environment while being integral to our security operations. In this role, you will be responsible for offering expert advice on the implementation and management of essential physical, procedural, and technical security measures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with information security, data retention, and cybersecurity policies across all systems and services, documenting evidence of adherence and identifying any gaps.
- Assist in compliance assessments, evaluating configurations and security protocols to meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Identify potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems, performing risk assessments and recommending actions to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate investigations into suspected security breaches and manage incident resolution in line with established protocols, utilizing forensic methods when necessary.
- Provide guidance on the application of fundamental security controls, ensuring a clear understanding of their importance.
- Contribute to the security architecture of systems, ensuring robust protection measures are integrated.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Team and other stakeholders, particularly during the rollout of new systems and services.
- Lead the preparation of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for review.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant academic or professional credentials in IT or Cybersecurity.
- Experience in managing risks associated with data usage, storage, and transmission.
- Ability to deliver technical and administrative services to implement security controls and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of legislation, risk management, and national/international standards.
- Familiarity with IT auditing and application systems.
