Job Description:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Finance Administrator to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our school's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Deal with parents and pupils, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly reports and budgets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitor and manage school budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Oversee communication regarding payroll services, teacher pensions, and local government pension schemes.
- Maintain accurate records and transaction logs, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Prepare and process invoices, collecting fees and managing cash flow.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in finance or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or administrative role, preferably in education sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with parents, pupils, and staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software and systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
