Acquisitions Specialist

We are seeking a commercially savvy, proactive individual to join our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) origination team at Connect Corporate Finance.

The primary responsibilities will be:

  • Proactively identifying and assessing potential target investment companies to drive business growth.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to map relevant markets and opportunities for our clients.
  • Highlighting potential targets and shareholders, and assessing their fit for our clients' acquisition criteria.
  • Preparing comprehensive M&A prospect reports highlighting key characteristics and opportunities.
  • Leading outreach efforts to prospective targets, supporting the lead advisor throughout the process.
  • Supporting the deal team with research and meeting preparation to ensure seamless execution.
  • Meeting with prospective clients and business owners to build relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Maintaining databases to support overall business performance and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Participating in various aspects of a transaction, with extensive interaction with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Providing research information to support transaction execution and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Preparing presentations for management team meetings to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis and research of selected target companies, including financial, strategic, and competitor analysis.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in deal origination and business development is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of academic achievement, preferably a degree from a reputable institution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, including prioritisation, scheduling, and time management to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive results.

To be considered, you must be a graduate with strong commercial skills and a passion for M&A origination.
