- Day-to-Day Needs: Attend to the daily needs of young people, including personal care, meal preparation, and household responsibilities.
Household Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Upkeep: Share in the practical activities necessary to maintain the household, including cleaning, laundry, and equipment maintenance.
- Financial Management: Be accountable for allocated funds and ensure responsible financial management.
- Reporting and Maintenance: Report any necessary repairs and ensure prompt action is taken to maintain the household.
Personal and Professional Development:
- Role Modeling and Guidance: Act as a positive role model and guide for young people, setting a good example and promoting positive behaviors.
- Professional Supervision and Development: Engage in regular professional supervision and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Reporting and Malpractice: Report any malpractice or concerns to a line manager or designated person.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Shift Work and Rotas: Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as required by the rota.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as requested by management, ensuring the smooth operation of the household.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience and Qualifications: Possess experience working with children and young people in an Ofsted-regulated environment, with a Level 3 CYPW or above qualification.
- Enhanced DBS Check: Hold an enhanced DBS check and be on the update service.
- Driving Ability: Possess a valid driving license.
- Smart and Agile: Demonstrate the ability to handle the daily needs and activities of young people with ease and efficiency.
