Job Title: Programme Director Animation

Job Summary:

The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) is seeking an experienced academic to lead our Animation programme at the Farnham campus. As Programme Director, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership, maintaining and developing recruitment, retention, curriculum, and assessment to ensure the delivery of the courses aligns with the university's mission, policies, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a significant cohort of students, ensuring staff and resources are managed effectively.
  • Be a line-manager responsible for the performance of the course team, ensuring full engagement in teaching, development of learning materials, research, and scholarly activity.
  • Work closely with other Programme Directors to lead and support the wider strategic activities of the School, including portfolio development, recruitment, and research.
  • Demonstrate academic, professional, and administrative achievements, as well as excellent management and leadership skills in motivating and directing a team.

Requirements:

  • A good honours and postgraduate degree.
  • Professional experience and knowledge of current educational issues.
  • Critical understanding of the social, cultural, economic, and environmental factors influencing Performing Arts today.
